The goal of UNDP is to improve the lives of the people of Mongolia, especially the poorest and most vulnerable, and to work towards a future that offers equality, dignity and opportunity for all.
Under the general supervision and guidance of the UNDP CO Youth, Entrepreneurship and Private Sector Officer (UNDP CO Project Focal Point), the Activated2030 Project Assistant will provide support functions to enable the management, coordination and delivery of all aspects of the Activated2030 project.
Duties and responsibilities
Participate in, contribute to, and record project meetings.
Assist with the coordination of the workflow of a multicultural, multidisciplinary team.
Support the design of messaging, choice architecture and promotional material for the interventions and project.
Support the UNDP CO project focal point in the planning and hosting of focus groups, multi-stakeholder workshops and other events.
Contribute to the design and preparation of project communications, including social media posts, stakeholder communications, and project reporting.
Undertake basic desktop research and sourcing of information and summarise key points.
Assist with the collation of qualitative and quantitative data.
Perform other functions as may be assigned by the UNDP CO project focal point consistent with qualifications and experience.
The objective of the consultancy work is to produce series of short animated videos along with illustrative print infographic posters targeting different audiences, and broadcast the videos via various tv channels and/or digital communication. Within the framework of the consultancy work, following activities shall be undertaken:
Collect all necessary data from BIOFIN team and pertinent stakeholders including the government agencies;
Construct/draft a script and brief for the creation of the videos and animated elements;
Conceptualize/storyboard the animation and graphics;
2 animated video/motion graphics with an average duration of 3 minutes (e.g Why biodiversity is important? BIOFIN Day - Thailand: Animation )
2 white board stories illustrated videos with the duration of 5 minutes (e.g South Africa BIOFIN – whiteboard animation)
Create titles as needed and record narration with appropriate narrator;
Edit and voice-over of one short video – BIOFIN global video into Mongolian version (2 minutes) - What is BIOFIN?
Design and print 5 (one for each video) posters in-line with video content and illustrative/infographic elements (A1 or A2, detailed specifications will be discussed) and print in high-resolution;
Conduct pre-test sessions involving the relevant audiences;
Submit all final files and illustration elements to UNDP CO;
Provide TV airing schedule report.
Broadcast via tv channels and digital communication sources.
Undertake analysis of the changing political and governance context of the country as it relates to the project and recommend the necessary actions and adjustment to the project activities;
Review latest developments of civil service reforms of countries with experiences that are relevant to Mongolia, and devise lessons learned that may be applicable for Mongolia;
Execute assigned policy, strategy, and project initiatives to support key results and outputs of the project;
Conceptualize and recommend policy innovations in the area of civil service reform to improve the project effectiveness;
Substantively advise and conceptually guide production of relevant analyses, provide policy advice and technical support that responds to the country needs;
Prepare policy materials, briefing notes and speeches;
Based on lessons learned, identify gaps and opportunities for development of new policies and interventions and advise their incorporation into project workplans;
Ensure the quality and timeliness of goods, services and works delivered by sub-contractors, through substantive revisions, and ensure the quality assurance of assigned substantive project deliverables and their alignment with government policies and standards;
Manage and undertake survey and research works required as inputs to project outputs;
Coordinate and perform knowledge extraction, analysis, documentation, codification of results/lessons learned from the Project and the civil service reforms;
Work closely with the Civil Service Council and other stakeholders of the project;
Assist the Project Manager in preparing annual and quarterly workplans and progress reports.
Background information: Under the overall guidance and supervision of the National Project Manager, the Diver assists in the efficient management of the project by providing driving and administrative support. He/she applies a client-oriented approach consistent with the national and UNDP rules and regulations, high sense of responsibility, courtesy, tact and the ability to work with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.
Provision of reliable and safe driving services
Proper use of the assigned vehicle
Ensure periodic maintenance of the assigned vehicle
Maintain daily log of destinations and the purpose of trips
Provide logistical support to the project
